Books or movies?
While both books and movies are wonderful chunks of joy for kids as well as adults, do you think movies dominate over books? Well, that’s a common question these days.
Indubitably, movies turn out to be extremely convenient and worthwhile for those who could not understand complex plots of books and create a clear picture in the heads of viewers whereas books leave the readers with a wide scope of imagination. Books don’t form permanent pictures, instead, they make the readers use their imagination to picturise and comprehend the scene according to their ability.
Talking of facts, books came earlier than movies. Before movies were ever made, books were the only source of telling stories. it is right to say that the movies originate from books only, movies may not even have existed ever without literature.
Movies do not last too long. Many details of characters and plot are cut while in books there is no time limit. An author can describe feelings and emotions in a much better and detailed way. Countless movies have been based on novels but could hardly serve as good as the originals. It is often seen that most people prefer to read books than to watch a movie.
As far as health is concerned, sitting in front of the television or the big screen can adversely affect the eyesight of viewers. While reading does not expose your eyes to the bright lights for hours. Books dominate this argument without any question.
Books not only provide a good bank of vocabulary to their readers but also allow you to be more creative and imaginative while in movies, all the work of imagination is already done.
Undoubtedly, both movies and books are delightful sources of entertainment and recreation.
