10 Ways to Become a Real Life Superhero
Superheroes are all the rage these days, but do you know what it really takes to become one?
Of course, with great power comes great responsibility, and that goes doubly so if you’re an
actual superhero. That said, while this list isn’t exhaustive by any means (and no offense to
Marvel and DC), here are 10 Ways to Become a Real Life Superhero that will help you get
started on your journey to saving the world.
1) Keep up with your nutrition
It takes a special kind of person to be a superhero. It’s one thing to chase evildoers down at
night, but it’s another thing entirely to maintain your physical health while doing so. If you’re
going out every night, fighting crime, and saving lives—well, you’re going to need all the energy
you can get. Make sure that you take care of yourself by eating right and staying fit!
2) Use technology for good
Technology has done some amazing things for humanity. It’s opened our eyes to new worlds of
learning, entertainment, and information that make our lives easier. But it’s also given us easy
access to negative distractions like pornography and gambling. Tech can help us explore more
constructive avenues if we choose wisely—for example, how we can use social media as an
innovative tool for fundraising or volunteering opportunities with non-profits.
3) Read more
It’s not really true that you must be born with superpowers to be a superhero. Of course, if
you’re bitten by radioactive spiders or exposed to gamma radiation, it does make things easier,
but most real-life superheroes gain their abilities through hard work and training. The first step is
figuring out which superhero you want to be and why.
4) Create a morning routine
You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again: Success is a lifestyle, not an event. It takes hard
work and dedication, both of which start with your morning routine. If you want to become a real
life superhero, start every day with these simple steps. Get up early enough to finish three sets
of push-ups (as well as 20 crunches), take a cold shower and meditate for 15 minutes.
5) Get up early (even if you don’t have to)
Early risers are more productive, have more energy, and generally feel happier. Setting aside
time for yourself in the morning can help you wake up feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on
your day. Plus, if you’re one of those people who works better in small chunks of time
throughout your day rather than big blocks of work time at night, getting an early start makes
sense. You might even find that rising early increases your productivity throughout your entire
day!
6) Exercise regularly
Start small, and make sure you’re doing enough cardio! One of my favorite exercise regimens is
Tabata, because it fits into my schedule (and your results will prove impressive in as little as 4
weeks). If you’re not familiar with Tabata, here’s how it works: 20 seconds of high-intensity
exercises followed by 10 seconds of rest—repeated for four total rounds.
7) Play sports
One of my favorite methods for becoming more productive involves doing what you love and
sharing it with others. Here’s how: First, make sure your hobby is something that will help you
relax—something you enjoy. Next, find someone who shares your interest and get involved in a
game or competition together.
8) Meditate
Deep breathing can help you focus better, which will be essential if you’re trying to learn new
skills or master physical feats. When you meditate and calm your mind, you can also clear your
thoughts—and make room for anything new that might come your way. Spend ten minutes
every day clearing your mind and focusing on taking deep breaths. You may be surprised at
how much easier it is to stay present in stressful situations when you take time out of each day
to relax.
9) Network with new people daily
Networking is all about connecting with people, especially those you have something in
common with. So if you want to become a real life superhero, expand your social circle by
meeting new people every day. Whether it’s on your commute or during lunch at work, it helps to
get out of your comfort zone and talk to someone new every day—not only will you learn
something interesting about them but also yourself.
10) Have fun, have fun, have fun!
Don’t make your life seem like a serious job. When you’re happy, you’ll perform better and be
more satisfied with your results. Also, think of how much more enjoyable life is when you’re
having fun rather than working yourself ragged for no real purpose. So loosen up! Find ways to
have fun doing whatever it is that helps achieve your goal!
